About Us
Our A World of Wellness™ team is made up of a variety of people from all walks of life. Although there is a large representation of leaders from both health and wellness fields, it is not a requirement to be on the team. We are a diverse group of leaders who have come together on this team to share our skills and talents to make a difference in our own lives and the world around us.

We are passionate in our desire to work, live, learn and give - all in a balanced llife.

Our Team

Patti and Peter Rugg, MD
Worcester, MA

Community Advocate/Physician

Peter and Patti Rugg have 4 children and have recently become empty-nested, at least for the school year. Patti, after a career in hospital administration, decided to be a stay-at-home mom. She had a home-based day care business while the children were young and went on to become a volunteer leader in her church and community. Peter is a fulltime Emergency Room physician. He teaches Emergency Medicine at UMass Medical School. He holds numerous teaching and administrative titles including: Assistant Professor, Former Department Chairperson and is the Former Medical Director of Quality. He has served on the Board of Children's Court Advocates and currently works with the Juvenile Court System and the United Way to address the epidemic of childhood obesity, exercise and nutrition. "We both have embraced USANA and the World of Wellness team because we believe in the goal of health maintenance and we strongly seek to practice and teach work-life balance."

Susan Palatucci
Worcester, MA

Psychologist

Susan Palatucci has been married to her husband, Chris, for 17 years. They have 4 children. She has a BA in Psychology from the University of Maine, and an MA in Counseling Psychology from Assumption College. She has worked as a psychologist at a local College until her recent retirement. She has served on many Boards and volunteered at various agencies including The Junior League and Worcester County Food Bank. She likes skiing, golf, tennis, swimming, biking and kayaking with her family. "Being part of USANA and the World of Wellness team has provided me with the balance in my life to enjoy my family, volunteer in the community, and live a healthy life through exercise and great nutritional products."

Karen Scibinico
Boxborough, MA

Yoga Instructor/Educator

Karen Scibinico has a Masters degree in Educational Administration and served as a Dean and Director of the Center for Executive and Professional Education at Bentley College. Previously, she was a teacher and executive trainer. To achieve her goal of helping people find a healthier lifestyle, Karen left Bentley to become a certified yoga instructor and opened The Circle of Stones Yoga Studio. A year later, she and husband Ted started their Life's Balance business. "Joining USANA and the World of Wellness team has inspired me because of the quality and diversity of the people who are committed to changing lives for the better through work/life balance." She has a BA in English/Secondary Education from Simmons College and a MEd in Educational Administration from Boston College

Stephanie Bruss
Green Bay, WI

Business Owner

Stephanie runs and owns an Interior Design studio and furniture store franchise called Designs of the Interior (DOTI) in which annual sales exceed $1 million per year. She lives in Green Bay, WI with her husband Brendan and their daughters Tea and Maricella whom they recently adopted from Russia. Her entrepreneurial spirit quickly resonated with the World of Wellness team and the USANA opportunity. She has been not only enjoying her business success, but also her new focus on seeking balance in her life. "Working with the World of Wellness team has created such a valuable network for me. Not only has business grown, but I value the leveraged income potential that my current franchise efforts could never offer."

Brenda Montgomery
Pleasanton, CA

Life Coach

Brenda runs her own empowerment services company called "Tools for Life" and specializes in coaching those who, like her, have a physical handicap. For the past 20 years, Brenda has worked in various Program Management positions in the high-tech industry in Silicon Valley. Her young son, Cameron, is the joy of her life. She has a BA in Social Services from San Jose State, and Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from the College of Notre Dame. "Being a part of USANA and the World of Wellness team has given me my life back. I am now gaining clarity, freedom, balance and complete control in every area of my life."

Marga Dominguez-Goering
Nevada City, CA

Massage Therapist/Health Educator

Born and raised in Vigo, Spain, Marga came to California 17 years ago with her American husband, Peter. She and Peter have a 9 year old son. She has a background in health and wellness and over the last 25 years has taught yoga, meditation, vegetarian cooking, and massage internationally. Now she has become a coach and leader for those who are ready to find balance in their lives. "Deep in my soul I knew that working in a team where people can support each other and combine expertise was the way to succeed and have a balanced life. When I heard about USANA and the World of Wellness team and met some of the people involved, my inner voice said 'this is it!'. Not only did my dream come true but I also proved that I can have a balanced life and enjoy great success."

Lisa Houg-Brellenthin
Loveland, OH

Registered Nurse

Lisa was born in Minnetonka, Minnesota and graduated from St. Mary's Nursing School in Minneapolis, MN. She retired from clinical nursing to build a successful home based business in 2001. She’s been married to Brian for 20 years and has 2 Children: David - 17, Ashley – 14. She is currently enrolled in the International Institute of Clinical Nutrition Certification Course. Lisa says, "As a nurse, I love helping people! This business allows me to continue to educate others on disease prevention, wellness, supplementation and healthy lifestyle. Working from home gives me the time freedom to spend with my family, volunteer at school and serve the community weekly by delivering meals on wheels to the elderly. Now I can have it my way!"

Cathy Hestilow
San Diego, CA

Entrepreneur

Cathy and her husband Steve are the parents of one adult son and have lived in the San Diego area for over 30 years. Besides her involvement with the World of Wellness team, she is an antique dealer who has had space in a local antique mall for the past six years. She has worked in other areas of art creativity through the years. She has a BD in Fine Arts from Cal State University, Hayward. "The USANA opportunity is about positive change. I am pleased to be aligned with so many people of integrity who are educating others in regard to this message of health, wellness, service and the importance of balance in the lives of us all."

Patty Abraham
San Diego, CA

Registered Nurse

After graduating from Nurses Training from the Los Angeles County/USC Medical Center, Patty focused on maternal-child health education and women's wellness. While developing her career, she placed primary interest on the well-being of her own family and three children. As her children left for college, Patty and her husband considered a number of entrepreneurial projects but focused on a home-based business to allow more personal and professional freedom. After nine years of developing a cooperative team model for others to achieve their maximum personal potential, she has realized life-long goals. Learning to strive for balance in her life has been an invaluable challenge. In addition, it has allowed her the personal time to commit to her family of three adult children and six grandchildren. Leaving a positive legacy for those to follow is a personal passion. "I truly see the World of Wellness team and USANA opportunity as an avenue for others to discover their own 'perfect path' toward achieving true health, happiness and financial success."

Susan Gordon
St. George, UT

Corporate Trainer

Susan spent 15 years in management at Pacific Bell and in 1996, ended her career as a corporate trainer and retired. Since then, she has worked her home-based business full-time. As the trainer for a large organization, she's had the opportunity to travel throughout the U.S., and has trained in Canada and Australia. Born and raised in Idaho, she lived in California for the past 28 years, and in 2005 she and her husband John re-located to St. George, Utah. She has 4 grown children and 11 grandchildren. "The best part of this business for me is all the incredible people Iíve met and who are now friends."

Jen Rey
San Diego, CA

Writer and Small Business Owner

Jennifer Rey has a masters degree in English and linguistics from Brigham Young University. She spent the first 10 years of her career in the IT industry working in technical communication, knowledge acquisition, and solution development. She has also worked as a freelance writer throughout her career, and owns Second Star, Inc., a business that provides professional writing services for business and technical marketing. Jennifer is bilingual English/Spanish and lived in Guatemala for three years where she spent time as a missionary for her church and later as the director of the English language program for the Rose Education Foundation. She recently expanded her entrepreneurial activities by joining A World of Wellness, a project dedicated to helping people establish work/life balance through a unique business model that lets them achieve the time and financial freedom to do the things that matter most to them. "Two of my top goals are creating personal work/life balance and making a significant, positive difference in people's lives. With A World of Wellness I've found a project that lets me do both.""

Julie Darton
San Diego, CA

Graphic Designer

Julie was born in Oklahoma and has since lived in Arizona, Guam, Hawaii, Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, Japan and California. She's been married to Tom for 24 years and has 3 children. When her children were younger, she was heavily involved in PTA and fundraising. She has 22 years of experience in desktop publishing and graphic design. In 1997 she designed and marketed a children's trivia game that was sold nationwide. Since then, she has transitioned from the desktop publishing business into a home-based business that allows her the flexibility to fit her work around family and church. "My family comes first. Working with USANA and the World of Wellness team gives me the opportunity and luxury of being a stay-at-home mom and enjoying something I am passionate about. I am able to use my skills and creativity while also providing additional income for our family."

Mike Abraham
Phoenix, AZ

Internet Marketer

Mike joined the World of Wellness team as an independent USANA associate after 10 years in corporate marketing and communications, much of it with a Fortune 50 company as a Marketing Communications Manager with global responsibilities. He has played key roles in establishing multi-national internet and intranet sites and has experience in brand building, the development of marketing messaging across various media as well as business development. He lives in Phoenix with his wife and three children. He has a BA in Communications from Brigham Young University and an MBA in Marketing from Arizona State University. "Joining the World of Wellness team has truly been an eye-opener for me. I now can utilize my skills gained in a corporate setting and apply them to an entrepreneurial model which not only potentially delivers financial success, but personal success as well."
